I asked the doctor about it and he explained it was normal as the pregnancy hormones are still rising and are enough to stop you starting your period but are sometimes not quite high enough to override your usual cramps etc. But on a brighter note for yourself I know my friends all had period like symptoms and had ruled themselves out then surprise they were pregnant!!
